It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of Alhaj Safdarali Akberali Jaffer which occurred on Sunday, 6th December 2015 in Allentown, USA, and buried on the same day.

Marhum Safdar bhai was born on 3rd June, 1948 in Newala –Tanzania and was brought up in Lindi. Marhum was an active social worker an active member of Lions Club he joined in 1979 serving in various capacities in Lions Club. The Club’s activities involved serving the needy and less fortunate local communities such as providing fresh water bore-holes in the villages, conducting eye camps and organizing treatment in India for children suffering from heart diseases under Lions Heart Project.
