==Life Journey==

At a very young age he left India migrated to Mombasa and worked for Ismail Kalyan's company in Lamu.

In 1914 he joined another company of Haji Dawoodbhai Haji Nasser and worked for many years as a Manager, he played a great role in this company.

==Community Service==

Since 1910 he took keen interest in the Jamaat's affairs and served with great dedication and sincerity up to his last breath for the community. During crucial moments, he was consistently helpful and would give good advice and sought the best solutions. No fundraising deputation would be complete without his generous contributions.

He served as the president of Mombasa Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Quwwatul Islam Jamaat for 4 years as well as the Trustee of Alibhai Panju School. He was one of the staunch founder members of the Federation. He also served for several years as the Treasurer of the public institute of East African Muslim Welfare Society.

*Let us remember Marhum Haji Muhammadali Kalyan and all Marhumeens with Sura-e-Fateha.
